Netflix needs to step in to save it right now and here's why. One thing we haven't had in 2019 is Netflix or another streaming service saving a show from cancellation. Well, now there's a show that most definitely needs to be saved. SYFY has canceled Deadly Class after one season and it needs to be saved by Netflix. While I would love for any streaming service to save the show, I do think Netflix is probably the best place for it right now. This is a graphic series, full of violence, drugs, nudity, and swearing. It needs to be on a streaming service that has proven to be successful with these types of shows, which Netflix has. It already has The Magicians and Wynonna Earp from SYFY (and we would like Netflix to save Wynonna Earp if the funding is still a problem). One thing we don't need is for Deadly Class to be toned down because of a potential new home.

Saya has gone but is it forever? Has she really turned against her friends? And what about Master Lin? His daughter was taken after the fight at the house. Master Lin's character development was different to that in the graphic novels in a good way. We were given more depth and I'd have loved to have seen more of that. In short, there's too much in the air. Netflix needs to save this show. Deadly Class has a cult following. People will subscribe to Netflix for more of the story. While the critics may have been on the fence about the series, the audience (the ones who really do count in this case with it being made for the fans of the graphic novels) rate it at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. I loved it. For a pilot, it felt rather restrained, though. Hopefully, action picks up in the next few episodes (previews look good). I'm a bit disappointed that they excluded the rooftop jump scene, ("measuring dicks"). And, I was a bit thrown off at the kiss between Saya and Marcus (it felt forced, just to show a love triangle). But, I liked the nods to the sideplots in the comics. Things I enjoyed on the pilot were: Petra being good at poison 101 Viktor trying to hook up with her set-up of animosity between Viktor and Billy The laxative scene was glorious (kudos to Viktor's actor) Maria's manipulation of Marcus (I'm crossing my fingers for her flashback scene) Marcus's backstory in comic form was a nice touch
