Remember, this is purely my opinion and I love Tomorrowland with a passion which is why I think this topic is extremely important.

Short version: Tomorrowland has decided to remove the core of their product(Energy/Euphoria) and replace it with unity and hapiness. It's the same thing as having socialism without capitalism - you simply run out of money. Long version: I think the problem is marketing and branding. Today there are more people coming to Tomorrowland because they want to see/experience it rather than going because of the music/artist and the energy that EDM provides. When i visited for the first time in 2014 there was alot more focus on the energy and you could feel that in the crowd at every stage. You can literally see it in the sets from those years and the aftermovies. I am not trying to demean the unity, freedom, hapiness and peace that Tomorrowland use for branding/marketing. To me it's a wonderful and amazing thing included, but it's just not the main reason why Tomorrowland is so great. The main reason in my opinion is the vibe, euphoria, energy and greatness of Tomorrowland. Think about the feeling you got the first time watching one of the aftermovies - what caused that reaction?
Was it the theme or the massive crowd that contributes so much energy and euphoria? It basically comes down to this - Tomorrowland decided to only focus on unity and hapiness which creates a huge market. After 2013 they stopped using "The madness" as marketing which was the only real indication of the energy and vibe. They could have changed that to alot of things but instead they decided to completely remove it. So today you have 10/20% EDM/music enthusiast's and 80/90% visitors that want to watch and see the show rather than participating. Those numbers were most likely the opposites in 2012, 2013 and 2014. I think Tomorrowland is going in the wrong direction and becomes short term instead of long term. I hope they can manage to turn this around and realize why their festival is the best in the world. For the record - I have been attending Tomorrowland in 14, 15, 16 and 17. So my opinion is based out of first hand experience. What do you guys think? I would love to hear your take on it.
