Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2019 Verified Purchase Interesting but odd film about surfing culture in Southern California in late sixties to early/mid seventies. Jan Michael Vincent ostensibly the main character didn't really have a lot to say. Secondary character played by William Katt actually had the meatier role. (Of note is that Katt's real mother, Barbara Hale of Perry Mason fame, played his mother in the movie) These two main characters looked the part of surfers along with Gary Busey who rounds out the trio. Not a lot of surf music in the soundtrack, this being a more "serious" look at the subculture. The Viet Nam War plays a part in terms of guys going over and not coming home. And most heavy duty surfing scenes were in the last 10 minutes. I didn't think the end of the story was well resolved as two of the three main characters ride off into the sunset to parts unknown.

The story is a little controversial. Despite the title Tinkerbell is a minor character, and some say it's a little dark for children. But it's well written and, personally, I'm glad the series expanded to tell the stories from the perspective of other fairies. I only wish this weren't the last of the series. I'd like to see more. He already loved the other Disney Fairies films that he has watched with my daughter and this film is equally as popular. I can understand the other reviewers advising this is a darker Fairies film than normal as the whole NeverBeast concept is obviously darker than the other films which have mainly been about Tinkerbell but I don't think it's unsuitable for young children as my 3 year old loves it but obviously parents may wish to judge whether it's suitable for their little one prior to letting them watch it as I know some children are more sensitive than others.
